I do not want heroes to die
When the system remains alive
I do not want soldiers to fall
When oppressors still rise
We trade lives for hope
Hope for change
But I see no changes born from hope
Just more rope
Given to the powerful
To hang our dreams
Above our heads
Close enough so we can dream
And far enough so we can keep dreaming
To ever reach them
So no
I do not want heroes to die
I want the system to die
Heroes are just simple humans
Born from injustice and despair
If the world was fair
We would know no hero
But since injustice reigns
Thousands are born every day.
